The Telugu channel Gemini TV pulled off a major coup when they telecasted Rajinikanth‘s super hit Shankar directed Telugu Robo on Sankranthi day (January 15).
The Sun Pictures produced film’s Tamil version Enthiran completed 100 days in cinema theatres in Tamil Nadu last week.
Since Enthiran is still running in screens in the state, Gemini TV (a sister concern of Sun TV) blocked Robo telecast in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The telecast was seen in Andhra and other parts of the world.
Early reports indicate that Robo had 2.38 TVR record TRP’s and was the number one film on Telugu channels on Sankranthi day.
When will the original Enthiran be seen on television? Probably next Pongal !
