Hathway digital cable tv services blocked Gemini TV and Gemini Music from January 25th and there is an uproar among audience against it. Gemini is the highly watched entertainment channel in AP, going by the TRPs and Hathway blocking it has earned severe criticism from the film industry and tv viewers.
Hathway has earlier blocked MAA TV, Star Plus, Channel V too. This time Hathway demands Sun network to reduce their prices. However, Hathway doesn't promise to slash its prices to consumers if Sun network reduces the prices.
Consumers are up in arms against Hathway as they have nothing to do with the firm's tussle with Sun network. Since they paid money, they demand the cable operator to resume services immediately.
Tollywood too expressed its concern over Gemini being blocked as a lot of movies and their promotions are lined up this season which are blocked due to Hathway's arm twisting blockade.
